Description: Conservation Ontario's submission to MNRF on the Conservation Authorities Act Review Discussion Paper (EBR 012-4509). On July 20, 2015, the Province, under the lead of MNRF, posted the Conservation Authorities Act Review Discussion paper on the Environmental Registry for public review and comment. The purpose of this Discussion Paper was to identify opportunities to improve the existing legislative, regulatory and policy framework that currently governs Conservation Authorities and the programs and services they deliver on behalf of the province, municipalities and others. The Discussion Paper was seeking feedback on the following three areas: governance, funding mechanisms, and roles and responsibilities.
