Conservation Ontario is the collective voice on matters of interest to all Conservation Authorities. By continuing to pursue priorities within key policy areas, Conservation Ontario seeks to influence policy and promote the value of Conservation Authorities for effective environmental management in Ontario.

Conservation Ontario aggregates Conservation Authority expertise on policy priorities at provincial and federal levels, which includes identifying and responding to policy impacting Conservation Authorities' business areas.

Conservation Ontario’s Client Service and Streamlining Initiative

Conservation Authorities are committed to streamlining their approval activities and reducing “red tape” in order to help the Province address the lack of housing supply.

While protecting public health and safety, conservation authorities are working with the development and construction community, as well as municipalities, conservation authorities to:

  • Improve Client Service and Accountability
  • Increase Speed of Approvals
  • Reduce Red Tape and Regulatory Burden
