Description: Conservation Ontario’s submission to MOECC on the “Proposed Amendment to the Director’s Technical Rules made under Section 107 of the Clean Water Act, 2006” (EBR# 012-8507). The coordinated comments acknowledge the anticipated positive impact of most of the proposed amendments. It is recommended to retain vulnerability scoring for significant groundwater recharge areas, to address non-point sources of pollution, and to revise the circumstances that influence if certain activities are significant-level threats to ensure protection to drinking water sources.
